Masaba Gupta gives major fitness goals with yoga routine

Demonstrating this strength is fashion designer Masaba Gupta, who, despite grappling with an antibiotic skin allergy, refused to let it hinder her yoga routine. Instead, she faced the challenge head-on, exuding confidence and reclaiming her sense of self.
In her own words, Masaba shared, “The last few days have been filled with rage and disappointment at how my health has been. A freak antibiotic allergy, skin that’s still peeling and stinging but I had to get back to routine.” Undeterred, she embarked on her yoga practice, which comprised 108 Surya Namaskars and a serene inversion, ultimately feeling a restoration of herself. Encouraging others, she urged, “Hope you move today in whatever way you can and thank your body for putting up with so much patiently.”
Ayurvedic practitioner Geeta Vara echoes the significance of Surya Namaskar, emphasizing its myriad benefits for the entire body. According to Vara, energizing the body during the winter period is crucial for building strength and immunity. Vara describes Surya Namaskar as an early morning practice facing east, aligning with the rising sun while expressing gratitude and setting clear intentions. Beyond physical postures, she emphasizes yoga as meditation through movement, involving energy channeling, mental stillness, spiritual connection through mantras, and breath synchronization.
